About TTLTemple Terrace Leaguerettes is a girls' recreational slow-pitch softball league. By "recreational," we mean that we are not a "select" league . . . we welcome players at all levels, from beginner to expert. We have two seasons each year - fall and spring - both open to girls age 4 through 17. Our fall season begins with player selection in mid August, followed by 8 - 10 Saturday games beginning in September and ending in October or early November. Our fall season, which we sometimes call our "instructional" season, is shorter and less demanding that our spring season. In the fall, we have three divisions. Our Pee Wees are girls age 4 through first time 6 year olds, Pixies are girls age 6 through 9, and Pigtails/Ponytails are girls 10 and up. When we say age, we mean "League Age," which refers to a girl's age on the September 1 near or preceding the start of the season. Our spring season is longer and a bit more competitive than the fall season. Of course, as always, there is a real emphasis on having fun. But unlike the fall season, we keep track of team standings, there are three county-wide tournaments, and All Stars are selected at the end of the season to play in a county-wide All Star tournament. Our fall season begins with player selection in early November, practices in November and December, and games from early January through late April. In the spring, we have four divisions. Our Pee Wees are girls age 4 through first time 6 year olds, Pixies are girls age 6 through 9, Pigtails are girls age 10 through 13, and Ponytails are girls 14 and up (again, based on League Age).
